Tommy Mayhew serves as President of Tropic-Kool Mechanical Services (Tropic-Kool). In this role, Tommy leads the company’s strategic direction, growth initiatives, and core business operations, ensuring Tropic-Kool continues to deliver high-quality HVAC/Mechanical solutions to clients across the Healthcare, Education, and Commercial/Industrial markets.

With over two decades of experience in the commercial building and HVAC/Mechanical industry, Tommy brings extensive experience in energy services, mechanical contracting, building automation, and large-scale service operations. He is widely recognized for his ability to build scalable organizations and align sales, operations, and service teams around shared performance goals.

Prior to joining Tropic-Kool, Tommy held multiple senior leadership positions at Daikin Applied Americas. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales for Central and West Coast Florida, where he was selected to lead the turnaround and integration of a newly acquired equipment sales organization spanning Tampa, Orlando, and Fort Myers, Florida.

Tommy began his career as a journeyman steamfitter and has built his leadership foundation on both technical expertise and business acumen. He holds a Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M.) designation and maintains HVAC journeyman licenses in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. He is also a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership’s Leadership Development Program and an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Tampa Chapter.
